Hi Pevad,
Inversion is contraindicated (not recommended) for anyone with surgically implanted orthopedic supports or a significant curvature to the spine. While this does not mean that you cannot invert, it means that you’ll need to check with your doctor before trying inversion. You can find out more about contraindications here: https://teeter.com/blog/faq-items/who-should-use-it/

Bill Reese –
I like the action of the legs and arms. Getting on and off is difficult for those with mobility issues. Also the seat distance from the pedals raises the seat rather than just going horizontally back.
Greg Reich –
The Teeter is easy to use, was easy to assemble, and makes getting a good workout easy and low-impact. I’m 67 years old and I love it!
Sports –
In just a couple of weeks, I feel a difference and relief of back pain and stiffness in my thighs after using the free step LT3 equipment. My wife no longer experiences knee pain. It’s remarkable!!!
Dobbie Maloo –
It rides nice. Hard getting on and off because of the bottom bar. That’s why I gave it 2 stars.
Rick P –
So far I like the LT3 Elliptical, the only thing that could be better is the seat it’s a tad bit on the hard side that’s probably why they sell a jell cover.
Shaytechie –
This is a great machine. I love that I can get cardio in while not negatively impacting my knees or back. I love that I can get a great workout that I can see myself doing for a long time. It has been getting a lot of use as I work on my health and fitness working towards my weight loss goals. I have lost over 60 pounds and this machine has been instrumental in helping me achieve that. You will not be disappointed.
Barb R –
Great overall workout. I can do as much or as little as I want and work what muscle group I choose. My PT recommended a Nustep but this is much more affordable and same results.
dennis2j –
I purchased the FreeStep LT3 a couple of years ago and was immediately impressed with its build quality and with how gentle it is on my 70+ year old joints. (The most strenuous part was assembling it! Download the Bild app, you won’t regret it.) I did a lot of comparison shopping but could not find anything like the LT3 near its price point. Shortly thereafter, caring for my wife because of her health and memory issues made finding time to use the machine impossible. She now receives excellent care in a nearby skilled nursing facility, so I have time to use the LT3 again. I am still impressed by how quiet and sturdy it is. I use it every day now. I am beyond pleased with the quality of my workouts and with the results I’m getting. Over the past 12 weeks I have lost 14 pounds and my BMI is once more within the acceptable range for my height. This has resulted in better sleep at night and more energy during the day. The FreeStep LT3 is a superb value for anyone who wants to improve their cardio fitness with minimal impact on their joints.
Realist –
Very sturdy and easy to use. By far this is the least damaging and least (physically) demanding exercise machine for my all-over body aches and arthritis from decades of fibromyalgia. I can break a sweat in 5-10 minutes of swinging the handles, so I know that I am getting enough pumping– something I couldn’t imagine doing by other forms of exercise in my condition. I really like the way the handles shift positions for different training in the upper body. Ball bearing is a must-have feature as well– very smooth and so quiet! I wish the seat was easier to adjust, but overall, it meets most of my needs.
When the box arrived with a large hole, I was worried if there was a damage in the product. But as the customer service agent assured me, their packaging was good enough to handle the rough shipping (no missing or crushed parts, etc.). The communications with the customer care team were good too. I regret nothing.
Bob Owen –
I’m enjoying myLT3. It did have one problem in assembly- two of the holes in the base were not threaded to accept the bolts and washers. My son tapped them out and the rest of the assembly went well. I’m using the Lat3 regularly as part of my recovery from spinal surgery.
jeabucks –
Finally got it together and am now using it. Not as much as I’d like to. I have the seat all the way back, but I still feel cramped. Is there a way to go back further or maybe I did not do that part right? And when you first start out, it seems a little choppy until you get going then it peddles smoother.
TMT LT3 –
The LT3 is good value for the money. The only thing I’d change would be the “chair”. The base / seat is wide enough for a larger person, but even at the 2nd setting, it’s just not deep enough to prevent that “perched” feeling. Plus, even with the optional gel seat cushion, your bum is still numb after a 45-minute stint. Lastly, the chair back should be more curved so that you can settle into it and relax while you’re working your legs / arms.
BBAhunter –
I am recovering from Guillain-Barré syndrome I am using the LT3 to get stronger I get lifted into the LT 3 With my gantry Lift. The LT three is very stable and I am very confident on it.
And I am able to keep my balance while using it for my exercise. I really believe this machine is gonna be a
big step forward in my recovery.
Another positive is Teeter As a company as excellent customer service, we had a couple small issues in the beginning When the LT three got delivered
Customer service took care of the issues quickly and efficiently, and they were very nice on the phone👍 I recommend Teeter products to anyone looking for exercise equipment.
Oh, and I almost forgot the videos that they make to help you exercise properly Is great also.
Ms Debbie –
We are a family that likes to walk outside, some of us daily. Weather often doesn’t permit us to do so safely because of ice, snow or rainy conditions. My husband researched and we bought this CrossFit for indoor use every day. It was well packaged and with two people, went together easily.
All of us can use this machine by changing the resistance and seats height.
We love it so far! It’s in our living room so we can watch tv or listen to air buds. It makes no sound so far. We are seniors and our son uses it also. Changing the resistance lets each of us get the workout we need for as long as we can go! We purchased the extra gel seat cover and are glad we did. This low impact workout is perfect for us. We look forward to staying agile and heart healthy!! We’ll never need to skip a workout for bad weather again.
Poppie –
We are enjoying the free step glad we purchased it, however we feel that the seat could be bigger front to back, and a more adjustable back
Pearly –
So easy to use, smooth. Much better than stationery bike.
Anne of Arizona –
Bought this to prepare for a total knee replacement and recovery after. Perfect for what I needed and takes up minimal space for all it does. It was easy to assemble – the video assembly instructions are great. I had a small issue and customer service was very responsive.
Mac60 –
Very easy to put together and one good workout
Jbeth –
I used to have to go to the gym 5 times a week. Now I can exercise at home
JAGS –
Able to get a good workout, but squeaks and pops loudly. The setback wobbles enough to be annoying. I have doubts that it will last very long. I hope I am wrong.
Gonzo –
I was recovering from open heart valve surgery followed by two back surgeries and finding it difficult to regain a healthy level of exercise. The Free Step was the perfect workout starter on the path to recovery, and 44 months later it is still a part of my daily fitness routine.
Sandyc4 –
I have osteoarthritis in my right hip that has progressed from simply annoying to now bone-on-bone full hip pain full time. For a long time I was able to continue working, exercising, and enjoying time in my garden. But as the pain progressed, I found myself becoming increasingly sidelined from all the activities that I loved doing. As I became less active, I sat more, my weight went up and I was really getting depressed. My brother has similar issues and he had invested in the LT1. He had worked to get his weight down, losing more than 185 lbs and he attributed his success in part to his Teeter. So, he really encouraged me to at least look into the Freestep. I did and really liked what I read, especially about the low impact on major joints like the hip. I took the plunge and got the LT3 and I’m so glad I did! I was able to assemble the Freestep on my own – I’m not saying it was the easiest thing I’ve ever done because this thing weighs a ton, but I took my time, used the BILT app (which I highly recommend), and I was able to assemble the LT3 in a relatively short period of time. I’ve been using my Teeter almost every day and riding for about 30-35 minutes. Slowly increasing my intensity level; I’m on level 4 now. I’m also working to get my weight down as I’m scheduled for hip replacement surgery at the end of September, and I can honestly say the Teeter has really helped me with my weight loss. It’s also enabled me to increase my daily steps because I think it really helps loosen up my hips so it’s a bit easier to walk. I’ve gone from sitting most of the time with a step count of about 2,000 per day to 6,000-7,000 steps per day – that’s a huge improvement! I’m extremely happy with my LT3 and I’m absolutely sure it’s going to help me in my post-surgery recovery as well. Sorry to be so long winded, but hopefully this helps others who may be thinking about getting the Freestep. It’s worth every penny!
DUTCHY –
My FreeStep LT3 is just what I needed to get the daily exercise I need. It’s easy to use and doesn’t put strain/pressure on my hips, legs, or feet. The App for assembly instructions was perfect and the MOVE App to help with exercising is free to us and nice to have. This unit is quality and structured strong. I gave it a 5 star rating easily.
Happy in VA –
We have had the Free Stp LT3 Cross Trainer for about a month. It’s great! It is super smooth and super quiet. My husband who has mobility issues due to MS uses it daily with no trouble. Due to weakness in one leg he can not pedal a bike, but this cross trainer motion is just right.
This machine lives up to the great reviews. Thank you for a great product!
NEZZIE –
IT IS A GREAT MACHINE BUT AT MY AGE OF 86, VERY HARD FOR ME TO GET ON AND OFF. TOOK MY SON ABOUT TWO HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER.
M Jenkins –
Excellent product…the best exercise purchase I ever made.
Paul Underwood –
Blood sugar was high needed to find an easy solution to exercise. Researched all possibilities and liked the idea of a recumbent elliptical device that was easy on my knees. Placed it in my computer room now I get up first thing in the morning go in turn on my computer and watch my morning bible study and get a workout at the same time easy peasy.
T J S –
At 81 introduced to a recumbent cross trainer (not a Teeter) in my pulmonary rehab program. Which seemed to help and I knew after completing the program I wouldn’t go to a local gym to continue to work out. Researched and found the Teeter Recumbent cross trainer and purchased one for my personal use at home. Very satisfied with the quality, features and price paid. Yes I would recommend this product to anyone.
Maggie May –
This the best machine, I broke my kneecap 6 months ago and this freestyle has helped tremendously. My husband and I use it daily
Geary S –
I purchased the Teeter FreeStep LT3 directly from Teeter. As an older adult with back issues, I wanted a machine that provided a good cardio workout along with moderate resistance for muscle toning. It was also important to have a machine that was comfortable to use and didn’t put excessive strain on the lower back. The Teeter FreeStep LT3 fits the bill. It’s easy to change seat height and resistance settings so another person can use the machine. The assembly was relatively straightforward, but getting the screws installed on the plastic cover sets can be a bit of a challenge. I found that taping the halves of the cover sets with blue masking tape first, made it much easier to get the screws started and installed. Overall the LT3 is great exercise machine for a cardio workout and basic muscle toning. Highly recommended!
Dander –
While the FreeStep does offer good exercise for lower and upper body, the exercise programs have not been added to in several years. The trainers still reference working during the pandemic. Also, almost a year ago, the app stopped rotating the screen on my iPad. If I use my iPad, the screen is very small because it does not rotate to a landscape view.I have to use my phone instead. Another fault i find with the FreeStep is that the resistance is only relative. It would be nice to have a number associated with whatever resistance you are at so that when you change it, you know where you have moved to and where you came from. When you try to return to the original resistance it is hard to figure out where it was.
Cougarroc –
This machine was easy to assemble and is well made and works well, but lower bars on the side would make it easier for the mobility limited to get on and off. A regularly mobile person wouldn’t even notice it as an issue. I am very happy with it.
nanaheart –
Love this machine! Works like a dream and is just what I used at the gym but now here where my husband and I can use every day! Well made!
Albert farias –
Very quiet, very good in helping arthritis in my knee . Machine gives outstanding results to working muscles
Matty –
Súper quite . Super comfortable and fun. Worth every penny I paid for it. I ordered the mat that goes with it. I also ordered the cushion. I always need extra padding on my bottom. Some people may be fine with it the way it comes . I exercise most times 60 minutes at a time. I feel the cushion really helps. I’m not one who is crazy about exercising. I love this equipment. Hesitated on spending the money …….but don’t it’s great. Not much problem putting together either. It took me around 2 hrs .
NY Neil –
I bought the teeter because I was looking for something low impact. I had used a similar machine at a physical therapist office. For my use this is great,
Christal –
Easy to assemble, not too pricey, smooth operating and very quiet in motion.
mrssebo –
I was in love with my Freestep lt3 until I got COVID. It’s taken me over a year to get back on a. I think I’m cursed bc I can’t lose any weight.
lorri –
I have a bad hip I ride the freestep 40 min. a night. I love this cross trainer has helped me so much.
Jeff D –
Entire experience has been excellent, starting with the video chat with customer service, followed by prompt shipping and delivery. The machine is of excellent quality, though assembly did take a few hours, even though I am a tool guy. It is simple and easy to adjust, and the results have been great, much better workout than I was getting using a recumbent bike and an elliptical.
AJ Ryan –
I’ve just started using the Teeter this past month but I’m already stronger and feeling better. I have fibromyalgia and SI joint dysfunction making some traditional exercises difficult. This has helped so much!
TxMsWhiz –
My husband and i love our new Teeter Freestep LT3. It has been the best home equipment I’ve ever purchased, very well made and very comfortable. Both of us are seniors, it helps our joints, muscles and circulation. Love it!
Greg S C –
I am very please with this purchase. It is quiet, does the job and so far seems well constructed. It was a little more difficult to assemble that I thought, however the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Based on the representations and price, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
AC103 –
Excellent product; however, there was a screw laying in the bottom of the box. It had popped-out of the flywheel plastic housing (at rear of product), I screwed it back-in, but it would not tighten. Other than that, the product is excellent and your instructions were perfect. Thank you.
UK24 –
Perfect ! Especially if you have knee problems and walking/jogging is not for you, as well as biking gets on your knees. This is the machine for you!
Mel1 –
I am amazed by the ease of set-up–from the carefully wrapped sections; to the LABELED step-by-step parts; and the handy BILT 3-D instructions. Wow! I wish all companies would follow suit for any self-assembly products.
Worked up a sweat and didn’t have any hip or lower back pain afterwards–a WIN! Super whisper quiet too. An enjoyable and effective workout!
Rick H –
My wife and I decided it was time to start getting some exercise into our lives. We are both over 60 and were looking for something that was easy on the joints but provided a workout. I spent a lot of time online and discussing with my doctors on the best type of equipment. That’s when I came across the Teeter hybrid elliptical recumbent trainer. Just what we were looking for. We’ve had about a month or so and have used it numerous times now and it’s great. Easy to use. If I had one draw back it would be the display as it is only in monochrome and a bit small.
I assembled it myself and the instructions were superior to anything I’ve had to put together before. clear and concise with accurate figures. I’m a technical systems instructor and we know checklists. We are happy with our choice so far.
Teeter buyer BLGMT –
The timer does not work at all and I am pretty disappointed in that. The seat is not as user friendly and easy to adjust as I would like. The action is not as smooth as I would like so really can’t get heart rate up.
Pat mcc –
Equipment is great but seat adjustment needs work. With back in upright position seat is uncomfortable. Needs to be adjusted farther forward
PMKPMK –
I had a knee replacement surgery in March and had physical therapy 3 times a week. After I reached the amount of visits the insurance company would pay for I decided to look into the Teeter for home to continue exercising my knee. It’s a great machine and I love it. It was a very reasonably price compared to other machines.
Chris R –
In Sept 2023 I had my liver transplant after suffering cirrhosis since April of the same year. I used to be a bigger guy, 6’1″ with average weight around 270 lbs. When i had my surgery i had dwindled down to 170 lbs, much of that loss was muscle. So needless to say my recovery has been difficult! Still going thru currently but this machine has helped with that. i first learned about recumbent bikes in the rehab center where i went to exercise and help heal. Their bike was a pleasure to use but it cost $5,000 ‐ $10,000 to purchase something like that.
Fortunately I was able to research and find Teeter’s site and their version of that machine for way less than i thought i could find. Black Friday deal at Christmas sold me on finalizing the purchase and there’s been no looking back. Until you’ve been thru an illness where you’ve lost so much muscle and major surgery that had to sever muscle to complete, you’ll never understand how much it’s like starting over again in life! I felt like a child learning to exercise again, couldn’t lift more than 5 lbs of weight total and absolutely no muscle mass, just skin and bones basically.
This machine is absolutely comparable to the one that cost THOUSANDS more! While it’s not exact duplicate, it was easy enough to operate for a 50+ yr old like myself and I’m thankful i went thru with that purchase. It’s only 3 months out from surgery but this has made life and exercise easier with the limited impact on the joints but the ease of its use and benefits! Many more months of recovery are ahead but i know I’ll make it thru to where i once was eventually, with the help of my LT3! I started using once a day for up to 10 mins and now I’m able to do 3x a day.
So so thankful for my 2nd chance and also to Teeter for coming up with an affordable version for those who need ease of recovery first and foremost!
Thank you
Crystal –
I’ve used the Teeter Recumbent Elliptical Stepper now coming up on 3 years this Feb. 2024. I work out for 20 minutes 6 mornings a week with Tim a trainer on the Teeter Move app. I’m amazed at how much strength I’ve gotten back in my legs but also how slender I am after losing 56 pds. I also have done a low carb diet with help from a nutritionist and my primary physician. I’m healthier then I’ve ever been and at 71 yrs I can now comfortably do what I did at 50 easily.
Stomp –
I did ask if it would work for a 4ft 11in person and was told it would. It doesn’t work in relation to showing my digital time, speed, etc. I am a tad too short. I had knee replacement surgery so I do use it daily to strengthen my knees. I only deal with time I use it so I’m okay with it.
Luis –
Excellent workout
Andre Lemire –
Used NuStep recumbent cross trainer after open heart therapy. Liked it and wanted to buy. it, but found Teeter L3T very similar so bought one in Canada where we live. We go to California for winter so purchased a second one from Teeter. I thought Teeter would give me better discount than 5% but they did’nt. Still love this machine as good as NuStep.
Dog Mom –
I couldn’t be more pleased with my new Teeter LT3 Free Step. It is everything I needed to continue my exercise program after partial knee replacement surgery. It’s very similar to the equipment I used in physical therapy. Will be using it daily to strengthen my knees and upper arms.
Karyn –
Being a senior and unable to walk any distance without getting lightheaded, I was looking for exercise equipment that would allow me to sit and still get the same exercise as other equipment. I tried a recumbent elliptical at a store and it was what I needed. The ability to sit, gives me the stability I needed to exercise my legs and arms giving me more strength and energy than I had before. I’m not setting the world on fire yet, but I have no problem using the Freestep everyday and I actually enjoy exercising. It has a place for an iPhone or iPad and digital reading to check your progress. The Freestep is very well made, sturdy and the instructions are very easy to put the Freestep together. I used the BILT app on YouTube showing detailed pictures and instructions. Other exercise equipment was too expensive, but the Teeter Freestep LT3 was very reasonable and well worth the price. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and should have done this earlier.
Sooz –
I needed a painless way to exercise at home and for longer periods of time. I got a typical stationary bike over 10 years ago, but as my arthritic knees worsened, it was no fun. I also couldn’t do it very long. In 2022 i had to go to PT for an ankle issue. My warmup there was on a recumbent bike. I only had to warm up about 10 minutes, but i thought “i could keep going on this thing!” when i saw the FreeStep on TV i coveted it for a while..but decided to get it. IT IS AWESOME. i’m currently up to 3.5 miles per session (i am 66) and am trying to shorten my time.
PPantzer –
This is a very solid piece of exercise equipment, and we love it! It’ easy on the joints, yet it has enough levels to make it very challenging for strength training and aerobic exercise. It took both of us (women) to put it together, but it was not too hard.
This is the QUIETEST exercise unit I have ever used, too. It’s wonderful because we often use it while we’re watching t.v. Very easy to make adjustments to seat height and arm positions.
Eddie Banks –
Customer service and shipplng time was excellent. The bike arrived in excellent condition. This bike works as well or better than the ones used by physical therapy that cost 3 times more money. Thanks for a great product.
RPsquared –
Very pleased with the LT3 trainer. The only thing that would be a great upgrade would be to provide an LCD or LED display that would light up when the display is activated. Hard to see the existing display in a dimly lit room.
RDBRO –
I purchased the FreeStep LT3 about a year ago and I love it! I can’t speak highly enough about it because it is everything I could ask for. I am 78 yrs. old and ride from 1/2 hour to an hour almost r every day . It is well built for the money so I don’t know what others are talking about when they say poor quality.
In 2020 I shattered my left femur and used a machine like this in Therapy (which was priced very expensive) so when I saw this I knew I had to have one! Best money I ever spent for my health.
JPSG –
I had been try for years to have our Country Club purchase a recumbent elliptical trainer. I had used one while recovering from hip replacements. When I found this Teeter, I purchased it immediately. This company is great in terms of products and services. The best!!!
teeterinCO –
I discovered this product two years ago while my spouse was in cardiac rehab. The rehab center had different pieces of equipment and his favorite was a seated elliptical. When I started shopping for a piece of equipment for home, the price of that particular machine was out of the question. That’s when I found the Teeter LT3 cross trainer. I was skeptical as to whether he’d keep up his exercising at home but knew he definitely wouldn’t use equipment he disliked (rower, treadmill).
Well, believe it or not (I barely can!), he has used the Teeter twice a day every day since he graduated from rehab. That was just over 2 years ago. At 88, he’s in better physical shape than he’s been in for decades. He never grumbles about getting his exercise done (another miracle because he grumbles about everything else). And his heart rate recovery is enviable.
Mel k –
Before my FreeStep I would walk sometime in the dark or rain. I like being outside but not always ideal. Now I can make better use of my time with my FreeStep. I can watch tv will getting my work out in. Great work out!
Roland –
It did not help me. I wasn’t able to adjust it to make it comfortable. I would not recommend this product. Can it be returned?
lazrchk –
My mother is enjoying her new purchase of the LT3 Recumbent Cross Trainer. She is using it twice a day.
Ohiobridge –
Our Nordictrak bike broke and was too expensive to repair. The Teeter was the replacement. My wife and I like it. Our only complaint is the quartz screen is very retro. However, the digital screen doesn’t interfere with the functionality of the Teeter and we never U.S. it. Would buy again.
SandraD –
My husband and I have limited mobility and joint issues. At 70ish, it is wonderful to have an exercise bike that we both can use. We do use it daily and are slowly building fitness back into our lives. It is quiet and very sturdy. We use the bike every day. Grateful for your product. Ty
MelH –
I am 76 yrs. old and have finally found a machine that I enjoy working out on! The time passes fast, and it is not like you are being “punished:. Thank you for this invention!!
Nancy Anderson –
It is helping me get my energy level back up. I love to get up every morning and exercise.
Happie –
I was getting winded easily and needed exercise. Setup was easy with the instructions that actually worked. Have been doing 3 to four miles a day with plans to do more. GOOD BUY
getting health in Georgia –
I was recently diagnosed with osteopenia. I was told i needed to add weight bearing exercises to my routine so I ordered my FreeStep LT3. I love it! I am amazed at it’s ability to work so many different muscle groups. It was easy to put together. The workout videos provide instruction for a great workout even for someone over 60.
RJ44 –
This is an excellent exercise machine. Have tried many different types of machines but this is the one. Takes focus to assemble but worth the time.
erbssr –
The seat handles need to be longer so you don’t have to almost reach under the seat to grip them when using legs only
T Rex –
Excellent piece of equipment.
copd 78 –
Needed to keep up with exercise program after getting out of Pulmonary Rehabilitation and knew I would not want to haul oxygen to a gym. This was just what I needed at a reasonable price. Well packaged, easy to assemble and impressed that replacement parts are readily available should a problem arise (a common problem with many units at this price point). The good reviews are well deserved – High quality ,strong, smooth and quiet
Bertha –
This company really stands by there products, got a freestep started to sound noisy they answered my email right away and sent me a new machine no charge, there service is excellent

Went together well, but best with two people. So far so good. Fifteen minutes is better and harder than 30 on the recumbent bike.
Devon –
I purchased a Teeter FreeStep LT3 as a birthday present for myself earlier this year. Best… present… ever! I waited for a few months before writing this review, as I wanted to see if I might lose interest in it like other fitness equipment or goals over the years (can anyone else relate to that?). And I am very happy to say that I am still using it almost every day, and I love it!
It is lighter and more compact than our other pieces of exercise equipment, so I was able to put this in the house right where I wanted it – near the TV/music area and an AC vent. It is also quiet, and I love that I can get on it anytime without any preparation – I don’t even need shoes!
If you normally work out several hours a week in a gym this item may not be for you, it is not necessarily an super intense workout (although depending on how long and at what speed you use it, you can definitely work up a good sweat!). However, for the millions of the rest of us who aren’t hardcore, and just want to be more active, the FreeStep is FANTASTIC. My knees feel better, I feel like I am getting in better shape, and using it is very comfortable (check out the “patented stride technology” information on the website which details how the FreeStep is similar to many (much more expensive) physical therapy machines). I definitely feel like my FreeStep is making a big difference in my health!
And I would like to add that Teeter’s Customer Service is wonderful! I worked with Julie before, during, and after my purchase, and she was very friendly and incredibly helpful. She honestly was one of the best customer service agents that I have dealt with at any company. Thank you to Julie AND to Teeter!
The Youngs –
I have MS and I am unable to walk or exercise. A stationary bike was recommended but I was concerned about my balance problem. When I found the Teeter, it appeared to be just what I needed. I have never been one to enjoy exercise; however, now I turn on my iPad, open Sirius XM to old time radio and I am highly entertained while I quietly “walk” through my daily routine. It’s low impact and totally quiet. My husband (82) is enjoying it, too.
ladhg –
This is an awesome and amazingly quiet machine – perfect for my 76-yr-old husband, who has Parkinson’s Disease (and not bad for me, too). He can sit and build strength and endurance without worrying about balance issues and standing fatigue. It is also ideal for a warm up before he goes for a walk. Customer service could not be more responsive; when the initial machine we ordered had a problem, a new elliptical was sent, no questions asked.
Richard C –
I am Right at the 300lbs limit and 6’4”. I bought the better one with ball bearings ! Been using it every other day for 6 months 30 to 45 min 16mph smooth and quiet ! Awesome machine I would recommend it to everyone. Looking at the elliptical rowing unit now! Well made product at a great price!
Tokfey –
I haven’t been able to really do any cardio workouts for years due to MS’ mobility difficulties. This recumbant eliptical is wonderful! It has given me a new way to exercise and regain my stength and stay safe doing so!
Only suggestion I would make is to include a portable step, so shorter customers can actually get up on the seat.
Howard V –
The set is pretty high.. should be lower profile especially for seniors
TC11 –
It was a good value, but I was disappointed in the monitor and size of the media rack. The console display does not have a Blood Pressure monitor, and it is not easy to set up the console. It was pretty easy to put together. It took me some time to understand the resistance adjustments. Overall, it was a good value. If I was to get another recumbent, I would consider others, including the LT3.
JoAnn –
I am not movitated to do exercise. I need to exercise. I find myself looking forward to work out on my recumbent bike by Teeter. I am making changes i didn’t think were possible.
Teddys mom –
Before I started using the FreeStep LT3, I was in a lot of pain. I have used it everyday since it arrived, 40 minutes a day. I have lost 25 pounds since I started using the machine. I absolutely live it!
Sue Frampton –
Because of a permanent foot injury I cannot use an exercise machine that works in a circular motion. My sister recommended your recumbent Freestep LT3. I decided to buy it as I need to exercise. I love it! Using the pedals along with the arms my foot can work it comfortably. I am up to working out one hour per day at medium level. I am about to increase the level on it.
Mike A –
I am 79 years old and had heart surgery in March; my cardio PT recommended rehab. I used a cross trainer at the hospital and really enjoyed it. I decided to buy one. After researching what was available online and reading reviews, ordered the Free Step.
It is a high quality heavy duty piece of equipment. It was not difficult to put together. and I am not mechanical; the pieces all fit together. In fact, I thought it must be German made (it is not).
It runs smoothly and is very quiet. I am satisfied with my purchase. Comparing it to the cross trainer I used at the hospital, it i comparable in quality, but with fewer frills and much less expensive. I have recommended it to others (including the staff at cardio rehab).
I hope and expect to be using it for a long time
tool –
Love everything but the tension control on the machine doesn’t work. Locked in “10” position.
CynLynn –
Great piece of Equipment especially for older and had hip replacement!
kmiles –
Have been very happy with this exercise device. Easy to assemble, does as advertised. Many position and level adjustments. Reasonable cost
Deborah Mc –
Love my teeter! After three back surgeries, I needed intense help building muscles in my legs and lower back. Using the teeter has provided the help needed. Along with physical therapy the teeter is my best bet to get these muscles back in shape.
Jimi P –
Affordable Quality Equipment
Deanne –
Great quality, easy to set up and adjust. I have knee pain and need knee replacement. This is helping me build up some muscle before with less stress on my knees.
Dawn C –
I loved my Freestep for 2 months. Easy to use and gives you a great workout! My 79 year old mother even uses it!! But, all of a sudden, the resistance adjustment knob stopped working. It’s stuck on a high number so it’s basically unusable at the moment. I’ve contacted Teeter and they are trying to figure out what’s wrong. Very disappointed because I was using it every day.
Phyllis A –
The teeter freestep was easy to put together. Parts and hardware were all included and with written instructions plus access to video. My husband and I have been using it for about a month. It is very sturdy and has a quiet, smooth ride. I definitely would recommend this product. Both of us are in our 70’s and have had no problems using it! I recently had knee replacement and this machine has helped me strengthen and move my knee much easier. I do two fifteen minute sessions each day. I think both of us are in better physical shape than before using the freestep. Thank you Teeter for designing an excellent piece of exercise equipment!
DFR13 –
We like the machine overall but the seat is our biggest issue. It’s not comfortable and should have been moved forward some.
donnad –
Great machine.
More Than Happy –
Used for a month, almost every day, 30-60 minutes. Great equipment – well built, quiet. Great for cardio & resistance. Extremely pleased.
MamaTaxi –
I am a disabled 64 year old with the inability to exercise without causing health issues. I wanted to get more mobility into my life, but couldn’t tolerate walking long distance or vigorous workouts! I started out working out for 10 min increments, but now I am enjoying 3 – 20 min workouts a day! I notice more flexibility, less joint pain, some weight loss, and just a source of pride to be able to do something to improve my overall health! I am hoping to advance to 2 -30 min workouts soon, and advance up from there. Don’t hesitate, get it, get started, you won’t be disappointed. The seat is very comfortable, and the machine is very smooth running!
Manni –
I am a 75 year old woman. I got this recumbent bike to get myself exercise. I am very comfortable once on the bike, but getting on and off is difficult for me. I am 5 ft and have short legs and arms. The arm bars are difficult for me to use.
Jen7997 –
Purchased the LT3. Husband put together easily. Have had it for a few weeks and I love it. I’ve been doing 15 to 30 minutes a few times a week so far and I can absolutely feel the burn in my legs and arms while using it and I am having very little soreness afterwards – I’m using resistance level 6. Not having much soreness is a plus for me because I hate that feeling and it would usually keep me from working out. I’m only using it to tone. I like being able to kill all those birds with one stone. I have herniated discs in my lower back with nerve impingement and the seat does not aggravate my back at all. The only issue I’m having is one of the handles keeps loosening during my sessions. Other than that, love it.
Davro –
Despite leaving multiple messages at Teeter, no one returns calls. The digital tracker and the resistance adjustment both do not work properly.
Patty B –
I bought the Teeter because my legs are so bad. It is hard to walk around these days. I am almost 67, and my legs are filled with RA. It is all I can do to get around the house most days. Using the Teeter is helping me get some of my mobility back. I am so thankful for this machine.
VicDgo –
I am recovering from abdominal surgery and needed a way to do some low impact exercise. I also have rheumatoid arthritis so weight bearing exercises like hiking or running even moderate distances are not feasible. The Teeter FreeStep LT3 has been perfect for me. I am on it daily. Typically for 20-30 minutes and 4-5+ miles/day. I feel like I am getting a good leg and arm workout and that my stamina is increasing. I will be able to push myself even further during my rehab as there seems to be plenty of upside on the resistance adjustment. It was easy for my husband and I to put together. It is a solid well made piece of exercise equipment. It is also very quiet. I also ordered the Teeter padded gel seat cover. It is a little difficult to get it pulled tight enough over the attached seat but it is otherwise well made and really adds more comfort to the seat.
Larry Musson –
I have not really started using it and i am going to get the video on demand.
Marty Young –
I’ve tried other exercise equipment – bicycles, ellipticals, etc. but the Freestep LT3 Recumbent Crosstrainer is the ONLY one that I’ve found to give a complete workout without pain and discomfort and I actually look forward to getting on it daily!
Elsie –
Great product!!
Therral and Tina –
I have feet issues and my husband has a bad knee. Therefore walking distance is out. The Teeter allows us a new world of exercise opportunities. I have been utilizing the workouts in your app and my husband is working to improve his endurance. Opportunities are just waiting for us to experience with this Freestep!
CJ from Indy –
So far so good. As an elderly customer I am progressing at a slow ratecand also using small hand weights while I train.
DebSouth –
We LOVE this machine! It is true. No impact on any joints.
JDS1 –
I’ve used the real expensive recumbent steppers but for the price, this is a nice piece of equipment. Perfect for my hips (surgeries) and heart rate/exercise. Beats the bike anyday.
Old guy –
This is great machine. Very good for strength and cardio. The Move app is a great addition. Different levels for use. Many different instructors, so no boredom. Not hard to assemble.
David T –
This is an excellent exerciser for my knee cartilage restoration and I am learning to include it in my exercises. It is well built and I have found it to fit me very well because of the adjustments the bike has
to fit different size and body types of people!
Janalyn Gotschall –
The FreeStep is very much like equipment I used after knee surgery. I am enjoying it today as much as I did at rehab a year ago. It is very comfortable to use & I use it everyday. It makes exercising more fun when it doesn’t seem like a lot of work. Thank you for making this available.
MikeHall –
Very good workout machine. Between the 2 of us we have hip, knee and shoulder surgeries. We are 60 years old, and wanted to start exercising. The Teeter let us start slow and work our way up. I couldn’t emagine getting my heart rate over 120, now I workout around 125-130 for 20 minutes. Still getting better. I dont know of a machine that can protect your bad joints and let you start moving them and make your life better.
Scott 86 –
My wife and I were both looking for a way to exercise from home. We both work from home and don’t really live near a place that has a gym, but we’re in need of some type of exercise. We looked at and evaluated several different types of low impact equipment that would work for us and decided on the FreeStep. We could not have made a better choice for our needs. We experienced some lower back problems several years ago and invested in a Teeter Inversion Table and loved it. We knew Teeter was a high quality product and that made the decision easier for us to choose the FreeStep. The settings are accessible and easy to set and/or adjust. The online classes are great or you can just go with your own routine. You can see and feel results in a short amount of time. We are looking forward to many years of exercise on this and to see how long it will actually last. Thank you Teeter.
Stacy S –
I love how smooth and quiet the FreeStep is. The seat is really comfortable. My back and knees do not hurt on this machine like a standard elliptical machine, even when I’m on it for over an hour at a time.
ErinsEthos –
I really love this exerciser! I have psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis, so these conditions bring a lot of pain. I am able to use my Teeter without extra pain! This is amazing! I have two issues with it. One is that the tension adjustment knob is very difficult for me to turn. The last thing is that I have a very weird problem with motion sickness and this machine causes me to be extremely motion sick because you can see all of the smooth moving arm and leg bars. I have solved this problem by using a sleep mask while exercising. I put in earbuds and listen to a podcast and I have no problem. I would definitely buy this again!
Bichon –
Love it! Very similar to the one I use at physical therapy. I have been using it 3 days a week and working up to 5 days a week. Also, working up to 45 minutes a day. At a fast pace!
Sbkeys –
I really like the benefits of working both upper and lower body, and the variety of settings for targeting different muscle groups. It is a versatile machine. Pedaling and handlebar movements are very smooth. It provides great resistance workouts.
Billster –
I was amazed at how easy it was to put together. Between the paper instructions and the cell phone app, it was almost impossible to mess up. Everything fitted tightly together, and when I got through, I was satisfied that I had a solid, trustworthy machine. Even set at the highest level, I was disappointed that there was not more resistance. Because the stops are so easy to push down, I feel that I have to go much faster than I otherwise would. If you don’t want to overexert, this machine is perfect, but if you are young and healthy, you will likely want something more challenging.
Oldsmitty –
I have used this everyday since purchasing. I have RA with bad shoulder, so I limit using the arms. I have found that using the pedals will keep my hips, legs, ankles and feet free and body moving better than before! Glad I purchased the Free Step we all can use more exercise!
Deborah Bostic –
I have neuropathy from diabetes that has made my legs very stiff and weak. I had been looking for a way to loosen up so I started researching. I came across several pieces of equipment but most were peddle styled and I was afraid to use those because of my condition. Then I found the Teeter LT3 and it had the full foot rest that my feet could sit flat and I thought would be better for me. I have been using it for a few weeks and can tell a world of difference. I try to do at least 3 miles and sometimes 6 every other day. I can sleep most nights now without hurting and am looking forward to continued success. I am so glad I found a way to help me and am so pleased with my purchase. The support staff were wonderful as well. Thank you so much Teeter!
Smudgie –
We were hardly able to enjoy a work out before this recumbent bike/elliptical.
Joe L –
So far everything is going fine.
Steve Doe –
Love the Trainer, both my wife and I use it everyday. Just one problem, the bolts holding the arms keep coming out. Not sure what to do about it. Maybe you have an idea or two.
Carol_P –
I needed a safe exercise machine that was low impact and didn’t cause pain to my joints. I am dependent on supplemental oxygen and my Teeter allows me to exercise daily to build my stamina without hurting myself
T Joyce –
My bride has parkinson’s and she just loves this machine. She can exercise w/o fear of falling. Seems well made.
Allen J –
We’ve had our Freestep for just over one month and both love it! Very quiet, low impact, and starting to see results already.
Knees –
I recently had both knees replaced, we made this purchase for flexibility of knees. It’s helped tremendously, also give my arms and body better mobility. I think the seat could be a little bigger.
Fran McClain –
I was in physical therapy for a back issue…Used a piece of equipment similar to the Teeter. Really enjoyed it each day…found it comfortable and something that I might want to keep up when released from therapy. My therapist suggested the Teeter….couldn’t be any happier. I am not one to exercise, but I have been using this equipment and will continue to. It is very comfortable to sit on..which was very important to me….and easy to use. Wasn’t too hard to put together and had fast secure shipping.
Smitty1229 –
Seems very sturdy but I was concerned when I read not for use in a gym. Are there worries it won’t hold up? There is a slight but very disconcerting jerk when I extend the handles fully while using the trainer. A compression fit instead of holes and pin for handle extensions would get rid of that plus give a far greater choice of handle bar location. Overall however a great buy and works well.
Irma Napoli –
Customer Service has been excellent, in helping me set up my Recumbent Cross trainer
Pedal Man –
Very bare bones machine but gets the job done. Beware that training films are done in km and the delivered machine is factory set at miles. It seemed that my legs finally gave out because it was immensely difficult to match the trainer’s speeds. Big difference btwn miles and km. Spoke to customer service at least 5 times before finally figuring out on my own that machine had to be switched to km if you want to coincide with training films. Also the speed knob is extremely difficult to turn.
KSue –
Love this machine. Easy on my knees. Great workout.
Kgolf49 –
It’s everything we hoped it would be. It is super smooth and quiet and easy to adjust settings. My wife had hip replacement and it has been great for her. I have a bad knee and it doesn’t hurt when I go 30 minutes on a 5 tension setting. We are very pleased.
GMAX –
I can now walk w/o a machine w/wheels
C Kennedy –
Before I got my Teeter Free Step, I used to substitute my summer outdoor running regimen in the winter with my indoor treadmill. Over the years, the treadmill proved too hard on my middle-aged, slightly arthritic knees. Eventually, I had to stop running altogether due to pain and injury, and my fitness plummeted! Now, with my no-impact Teeter Freestep, I can regain my cardio fitness level without the risk of further joint injury from impact running. I can do my core strengthening exercises on the Teeter and reduce the time I used to spend on my floor exercises. One of the things I love about my Teeter Free Step is the integrated upper body workout, which is so often an overlooked and underdeveloped area for runners.
Ks66 –
So far the product is great. Just a 20 minute workout and my body is feeling it after. Painless to use so I don’t dread exercise.
Joe Wolf –
Seat should be at lower level to get on as a senior citizen
Bill and Kay –
I have a bad back and I think this is the perfect tool for people who have back problems. Very well made. I think it will serve me well into the future. I have the teeter inversion table for years and use it daily. It helps relieve my back pain.
Papojim –
We are pleased with the quietness of the freestep and the smoothness of operation. We would like to have the tension control so it is visible without having to interrupt the workout to view what setting it is set at. The handles on the arm bars are not very comfortable. It would help if they rotated with the motion of your hand rather then just slide.
SandraCA –
I bought the Teeter Freestep LT3 model on Black Friday because I need exercise but my knees, feet, and ankles prevent me from walking. I use the Freestep machine at least 60 minutes a day and sometimes as much as 2 hours. Through a combination of exercise and diet I have lost 6 lbs in the last 2 months. I hope the price stays low because I intend to buy another machine for my second home. Very pleased with purchase!
Wandie –
The LT3 is good for anyone with joint issues. I have S/I joint issues and breathing issues, this machine is easy to use. My pulmonary rehab recommended this to me and I’m glad I took his advice.
Robert Tiffany –
I have worked with many physical therapists.
Some with machines and weights and you-name-its.
I met a new “body – work” nutritionist. I was expecting new and exciting exercises. We sat down to start and he said “Let’s start with your diet, and supplements.” I think you get the tack.
We started on 1/10th of the supplements I had been taking on the advice of our “Voodoo doctor” who had, over two years of changing supplements (applied kinesiology), rid my body of Lyme disease!!! nota bene I am still trusting in her.
Then my new “find” said “there is one device/machine which is the ONLY one you need” and “GET IT”
But, he cautioned, start slowly, for one minute with no? reistence.
I am 83 years old. COVID and the vaccine/boosters?? have greatly reduced my once-admired abilities. Started by clotting and getting worse.
After one month I am exercising for only two cycles a day, three periods per cycle, at 1-1/2 minutes per period, full resistance.
The machine knows and tells me where to apply pressure, force. Amazing.
I feel it centered in my abdomen.
My wife looked at me and commented “your belly fat (abdominal) is going away”
True…I pinch up a 1/2″ less fat on abdominal measure that was only 2″ before I started. I was never “fat”.
I am amazed at the physical change but, more importantly, I am much stronger, am regaining my balance, and although I have “chronic” blood clots in the length of my left leg and lungs, I get less “winded” and recover my breath and heart rate within a minute after I stop.
Am I pleased…and I did go too long in verbalizing how thrilled I am with the FreeStep which mimics natural motion? You bet I am.
Sandra B –
I absolutely love it. It is somewhat like a machine I used in rehab after my stroke. It is so comfortable and easy to use. Much thanks to you Teeter. Your customer service department is exceptional also.
Painter216 –
I like the teeter. It was a little difficult for two 65+ people to drag in the house and set up, but I am happy with the way the machine works. The seat is not very comfortable, but I can tolerate it for my 30 minute workout sessions. The machine works smoothly and does not hurt my knee joints like a bicycle does.
JoanieQ –
I love this. It’s very easy to get it set up and easy to use. I am currently starting out so I have it on the second lowest resistance level and I do between 20 to 30 minutes. I like the fact that it’s recumbent as I know I wouldn’t do as much if I also had to be standing. Also love the fact that it’s virtually silent so I can watch TV while using it. Highly recommend!
Bob Burns –
Love our Teeters, we purchased a Teeter for our vacation home. My wife and I are in our late 70s and were having issues walking short distances. After using for two months we now walk 1 to 2 miles daily without issues. We now have purchased a second Teeter for our primary residence.
Product is of high quality, quiet and smooth. The tracking screen is useless to us, as all data is in metric. Other than that it is an awesome exercise tool.
Dollarbill –
Excellent delivery service. Teeter takes pride in their product, that was obvious, the packaging was superb. Instruction how to open the box the remove the components. Sub- assembly hardware was marked accordingly, very easy assembly. The cross trainer provides upper body as well as lower body workout. I am 75 years young this equipment affords me the daily workout to keep my muscle tone & flexibility. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend this equipment.
Christophere –
I am a 62 year old male that has been lifting weights and doing cardio almost my entire adult life. My 66 year old wife is not able to lift weights and has trouble exercising because of bad knees and torn rotator cuffs. I was looking into something that she might be able to use and came across the Teeter Free Step. I thought it might be something she could use because she used something similar in PT. I thought it might be something I can use to compliment my weight routine. I want to tell you that I have used this machine reliably every day since it arrived (2 months ago). I am impressed. I wanted to add a leg press to my weight room but the Free Step does the job. It’s not that easy especially when you crank up the resistance. I love it. I’m a pretty big dude (265 lbs) and it is plenty sturdy. It is also very quiet which leads to more enjoyment because you can actually watch and listen to TV while you work out. I’m sorry to say that my wife hasn’t used it yet but I highly recommend this impressive machine.
Paul S –
After help from teeter customer service, have been able to realize the full benefits of this cross trainer, best experience I ever have had when post buy on any product ever bought online , this company is the best to work with…
JJinSATX –
Finally, a home fitness device that we actually enjoy using!
Joep –
It squeaks it is not silent like advertised a little annoying, but other than that I like the machine a lot
Michael Cipolla –
I am retired 77 year old man, 6 months post knee replacement surgery. I needed to keep my knee active without impact and this machine was perfect…I’m also losing muscle in my arms and the arm motion has restored muscle tone to my arms…Great product and much less expensive then so many other machines in the market
Mark M –
After back and hip replacement surgery, I needed a way to work out, since all of the things that I used to do, I could no longer do. My back, knees and hips no longer hurt. I can walk longer distances and stand for longer periods of time. Better than advertised!
Easy Streeters –
We needed another way to exercise when our old treadmill died. Since we are older now, this Teeter seemed the perfect fit. We can still get a good cardiac workout but without the stress on our feet and joints-plus arms! We love it!

I’m having a hard time trying to adjust it so I can comfortably exercise. Are there recommendations for ergonomics?
Mitchell Lynn –
I love this machine because it is so easy on your joints and it has such a wide variety of workouts to target any muscle group that you want to work on. It is also very quiet and comfortable to sit on. It is also built to last for a long time. Great workout machine!!!
Me too –
I was doing physical therapy at a facility with an instructor. That came to an end and I needed something I could use at home that was similar to the NuStep I was using at the facility, but without the high price tag. The Teeter FreeStep L3 was the perfect choice. It took about an hour and a half to put it together.
Beckyg –
The ride is so smooth. Well worth the money. I was just getting into a routine when I went on 2 work trips.I am just now getting in a routine, breaking in at 10 min /day morning and night. Love it!
just me 123 –
good movement and quiet operation
J S sturgeon –
It’s incredibly quiet . Easy enough to use. Only wish the seat would swivel for easy on & off. Could be too hard to get on after knee surgery.
Deb Mullins –
I love this Free Step. It’s so easy to use and very quiet. I’m 70 years old and this is so easy on my joints. I’m already exercising over an hour and been doing that since my 2nd time using it.
LL Simpson –
Quiet, easy to set up and use.
Have put 110 miles on my machine since October 5th.
One of the best purchases and investments I’ve made in myself and my health.
Jolo Lopez –
The built quality was great and the functionality as well. Ended up returning this machine since it was not appropriate for our lévenlo of fitness.
My wife and I purchased this to start aerobic exercises with lover impact to knees because of our weight and found it to be too light (our heart rate would not go up until minute 15-20). In addition, the machine felt uncomfortable in size ( I’m 6’ , 350pounds) and being a recumbent design it felt restraining.
Overall , I would recommend to people who need very low knee impact and for aerobics while recovering , but if the user can do a regular elliptical, then go with the original.
JMO1 –
Overall a very nice product , calorie counter is not adjustable for height and weight so basically meaningless. Very easy to add resistance, very difficult and likely impossible for some to reduce resistance, a larger diameter adjuster would help.
Vanessa –
I am 74 years old and I have balance issues and my legs and feet are mostly numb. I love my free step with one problem. Because there are so many moving parts I find it difficult to get on the seat. I believe a swivel seat would be perfect.
Cajunlam –
For those of us who are just starting to exercise after living a sedentary life, there should be something stationary to assist with getting on/off the bike.
Melody Hodge –
Luv it! Thanks!!
Prdubzz –
Great machine for what it’s intended to do. I get a decent workout with very low impact. Quality is top notch. However, the computer tech is rather lame. Old school, hard to read display. No way to edit or modify it. Stuck on kilometers when you really want to follow miles. Does not connect with any devices.
DWVH –
This is perfect for me. I am 70 and have had both knee and shoulder surgeries. I have used upright bikes, recumbent bikes, ellipticals and treadmills but they have all caused knee pain but not with the Teeter Elliptical Recumbent – plus I get the extra benefit of arm/shoulder exercise.
Speak –
This product is very well made and easy to use. I have only been able to use it on lowest resistance so far as I have a foot injury requiring surgery so after this week, I will be unable to use until the doctor gives the ok. Probably 6 or 8 weeks. But I am anxious to be able to use it on a regular basis. I will update later. Thank you.
JBellW –
I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis in one of my hip joints. During my first visit to physical therapy I used a similar apparatus. So, since I had wanted to be able to exercise at home, I purchased the Teeter FreeStep LT3 and I am very pleased that I did.
Rootie –
These are just my opinions and observations. Whether this review is made public or not I’m hoping that Teeter might consider improvements in the areas I mention. I am in no way trying to deter anyone from buying this machine.
This machine was obviously NOT built with the larger person in mind. I would suggest using the largest person the machine can handle when designing this machine. After all, there are a lot of us larger people using it so we can get into better shape! As it sits, I feel it’s a bit overpriced considering the problems I’m having with it.
1. While I am well under 300 lbs. (machine’s weight limit), but a large person, the handles rub my sides. I have to turn them to a position where there is no adjustment hole so that they don’t rub. This makes it hard to use the handles as they are loose.
2. The monitor is much too far away to be useful. Trying to read my Kindle while placed on the monitor is impossible. My old exercise bike had the monitor on a long movable arm which you could move forward or back as needed. Very convenient. It would be nice if the monitor had a light. Much easier to read.
3. The seat back keeps you semi reclined even in the most upright position. I like to be able to sit up straight, not reclined, even the slightest bit. The back of the seat should be able to move farther away from the seat giving us with a big butt more room. The ONE adjustment it has is not enough. The seat is also pretty hard. I had to buy a cushion for it.
4. Lastly, it would be nice if the frame part that you have to step over to get on the Cross Trainer was somehow lower or eliminated completely. I have a bum leg and it’s a chore to get on the machine.
TinyInMinnesota –
I had a stint put in for a 90% blockage and with the follow up exercise regiment they had me on for ten weeks I got to use a recumbent elliptical at first for 15 minutes twice a week and then toward the end 30 minutes three times a week. With the Cross trainer I found it easier on my back and knees than the treadmill, with the same end results. I was soooo convinced that the ellipticalrecumbent was for me that I researched options and then bought the Teeter. I am 6’4″ and 330 pounds (yes that is over your printed limit) and have NO difficulty using your machine. I could not be more please.

Better than walking out on the streets.

I had a stationary bike which I faithfully rode 5 days a week 5 miles. Let me tell you this machine is by far the best one I’ve ever had! I love love it! I had a knee replacement and my other knee needs to be replaced however both are feeling better after using my teeter! My stomach has gone down a couple inches and my arms are firming up nicely also! I use my machine 5 days a week and do anywhere from 6-8 miles each time. I’m 64years old and highly recommend this to anyone!
Bob and Angie H –
We purchased this to supplement my wife’s physical therapy. She has Inclusion Body Myositis, and needs to exercise safely every day. The Teeter recumbent is helping her do just that. We are very satisfied.

The Teeter FreeStep LT3 has been one of the best exercise equipment I ever bought. It is very quiet I can do everything I need to do for my health condition that I have. It is not overly big. It has wheels on that you can move it around. It is very well built. Was not hard at all to assemble everything was clearly marked it was the best I ever had of anything to put together. I love the type of meter it has to tell you time your calories your distance etc. A nice place to put your water bottle. I like the whole machine it is the best exercise equipment I ever bought. I would highly recommend this for anybody.

Have really enjoyed working out in the mornings, especially with the support of the videos to keep me motivated and to push me a little.

Great workout. I suffered a stroke back in 2015 and have been looking for something to incorporate my right arm. It was difficult at first, but I was able to find a glove to strap my arm. I am now able to do my 50 minute workout (4 times a week) with only my affected arm.
Larry the H –
Who uses it?
Both me, 80 year old male with bad knees and bad shoulders
94 year old mother-in-law with hip replacement.
Packaging:
Well organized but outer box could be heavier. No way to reuse it if you want to return it. Tetter said they would send a new box if I wanted to ship it back.
Items were well identified and labeled.
Assembly:
Forget about using the included tool, unless you want to make it a lifetime project.
I used an electric impact driver and a small offset Philips ratchet which made it easy. A hand ratchet with hex driver is minimum…
All parts fit reasonably well and instructions were very good.
About one hour assembly time.
(I saw one review that stated things didn’t fit well, but also said his box was damaged. Probable got dropped and bent a bit)
Quality:
Very good… I’m impressed with how sturdy this thing is. Well made…
Operation:
Very smooth and consistent… No noise… Resistance setting is nonlinear, I.e., increases faster the higher you go… The seat extends a bit too far under your legs and rubs a bit… The hand bar adjustments are a bit of a pain, but manageable… the readout is okay, but you need to memorize the segments, as their labels are tiny…
Use:
94 year old uses it 3 times a day… calls it her bicycle… loves it…
Me; going slow so as not to irritate my shoulders… but so far so good… stay tuned…
Bottom line:
Very happy and highly recommend it! :o]

This machine is very quiet and a great piece of equipment. My only bit of disappointment is the readout display is a bit on the cheap side, it would of been great to see this display have a backlight on it. It is hard to see with it not having a back light. Other than that, this machine is a keeper, you use your upper and lower body well exercised.
Kerry F –
I’ve been using my cross trainer for around 3 months. I know I’m comparing it to much more expensive machines I used in heart rehab but there are some problems you could address in future models.
1. The seat is way too hard and not contoured correctly with a sharp drop off in the front. This cuts off circulation to your leg. I had to use a memory foam pad to fix the problem.
2. The the resistance tensioner needs changing. I have very little resistance at any setting below 7.
3. The angle on the handles doesn’t match my palms. This puts my hands to sleep after 10 minutes. Providing some sort of rotational adjustment would fix the issue.
4. The knob for the seat back just permits lowering the angle. There is no method to tighten and lock the seat back in position. Therefore, it squeaks when I’m pushing hard on the handles.
5. The absence of a fan is an issue. Had to install an aftermarket clamp on fan.
6. The electronics are useful for time only.
If a friend asked me for a recommendation I’d say “If you can afford it, buy a much more expensive and adjustable machine.”
Frustrated owner –
It is not easy to assemble. The instruction book is fine but there’s a lot of details that are left out that you have to discover for yourself. I found a few of the parts did not fit and it was very difficult to get screws started in some places. Some reviews say it took an hour and a half to assemble. Not for me – it was spread out over two weekends because I had to wait until Monday to call and talk to your people and have them ship me some new parts etc. It would be nice to have customer service people on weekends when the people have time to work on this rather than wait until Monday to call and then have to wait all week to go work on it again

We love our FreeStepTeeter! It really is a great piece of exercise equipment. It’s basically simple to use, and gives us upper and lower body strengthening.
Wes Kleven –
I was shopping for a piece of equipment like the one I used at Planet Fitness and at my Physical Therapist. Everything I found was priced around 4-5 thousand dollars. I could not afford them. Then I found the Teeter product. It looked very similar to what I was looking for and in my price range. However, after I got it in my home I was very disappointed. Perhaps it is just me but I did not fit on this piece of equipment and I could not adjust it to make it feel right. In order to adjust the leg length I had to push the seat back except that when you do that it also raises up and it didn’t work. Also the handles were at the wrong angle for me and try as I might I could not adjust them so they would feel comfortable. I also noticed that the leg action was not what I was thinking it was. I was looking for just forward and backward but it didn’t work that way. When my foot was forward the front of my foot would leave the pedal. On the machines I liked at the gym, the foot stays flat at all times. I have ‘foot drop’ on my right foot and the raising of the toe is difficult and did not feel right. I just could not get comfortable on it. I’m sure it’s just me, I’m almost 85 years old and out of shape. Someone young and in physical condition may find the machine just what they are looking for. When I discovered that the machine was out of sync with my body I decided to return it immediately because I knew it would just sit there, unused. Sorry, the quality of workmanship is excellent, but it just did not fit my body.

Before I purchased my TEETER FREESTEP LT3 trainer, I would travel to the gym and wait for my favorite machine to be available. Now, I train at home whenever I want! No waiting!
Bill T –
I purchased the LT3 for a workout solution after cardiac rehab. I get an extremely smooth and pleasant workout and actually enjoy working out now. It’s well built, comfortable to use and has a very versatile resistance load range. For me money well spent.
Tom Mag –
Every bit as good a workout as Nu Step recumbant crosstrainer. Seat isn’t as comfortable as it could be but adjusts easily. Very smooth and quiet operation. I understand why Teeter used (and pays for) the Nu Step design.
MJOH –
I love it! It was easy to put together with easy to follow directions!
Tomas –
My wife and I are both using the Freestep, and it is easy on my overworked knees. Because it is recumbent, I can exercise on the porch and watch over my watering.
Grandma Getting Fit –
Just started using so don’t have results yet. At 65 I needed to get moving and this low impact Elliptical machine would work my legs and arms. Like the tension adjustment, but the seat could be a little more adjustable. I put it together my using the app and it was awesome and super easy! The separate packaging of all the hardware was great. Looking forward to getting more fit.
djd28 –
Minor issue with only one incorrect product part (wrong size screw substitution). Did online chat support and issue was correct quickly and very efficiently. Packaging and shipping was excellent. Happy with product overall!
Withangels –
It is very nice ride and very quiet
The only dislike is how the arms come in so much, where the round bobs Connect.
TL M –
Same type of workout I get on a Nu Step in pulmonary rehab with a smaller footprint and alot less $. Took 2 hrs to unbox and assemble.and the tool sucks but with some brute force and some swearing got the hardware to fit and it is more solid than I expected.
ALCampbell –
I had a full knee replacement. This machine has helped me to loosen my muscles and bend my knee. Best machine I could find outside of therapy.
Yooper –
This must use a friction band for resistance, its not smooth like a magnetic resistance. Hoping it will improve with use. Should be smoother for a machine of this price. Also getting a rubbing noise in one of the arms.
Mops –
Comfortable and allows users to work at what ever level they want.
Lin R Ostlund –

I use my FreeStep LT3 Elliptical Recumbent Cross Trainer twice daily to limber up and stay flexible. The pedal motion is very smooth which I really appreciate because it doesn’t stress the knees. I also like that I can adjust the resistance as I wish. So I’ve got it positioned in front of the TV and I get to watch the news while I’m getting the twice daily workout and I don’t have to drive anywhere to do it.
Erki –
This machine is quiet and and easy to use! I set my goal and have been able to keep it. For the 1st time I can fill out a Dr form and say I exercise !
Pajeli –
Does the job it is supposed to do if you use it! I wish the digital display was not so confusing to me, but that is not a problem for me as I just need to get my heart rate up for a certain amount of time. My son put mine together in about 40 minutes.
Doreen Matheny –
Great full body workout at home! Support and workout videos keep you motivated to keep going and challenge your own strength and ability.
Michellek –
I paid about one thousand dollars for the teeter freestep LT3. In my opinion the machine is way overpriced for what it is. There isn’t much room seat wise and it feels awkward to operate like you are out of sync with your feet and arms. I use the feet and arms separately.
Arthur M Jr –
The versatility in this fitness machine is fantastic. You can use both your arms and legs, my biggest benefit is just using the legs and, allow my arms to hang.
Neeter B –
Assembly instructions are easily to follow. Took about 45 minutes to assemble. Machine is easy to use and is gentle on hips and knees. We are very happy with our purchase.
Martin N –
Needed a good home workout similar to what I was using at pulmonary rehab, at a reduced cost. Does this and more. Feel rejuvenated after each workout.

I bought the best machine for the money LT3 I was 345LB I’m know 299LB I have tried taking pills that didn’t work I know better this machine works I love it exercise is not easy but well worth it my knees are very bad when I get on this machine I don’t fell no pain so Ican work out longer to reach my Gole roger teeter is not out for him self I can see he is out to help people reach their Gole god bless them
Doug A –
I do like this trainer, but think the price is a bit high the electronic display is pretty cheap for this machine and the seat is not very comfortable.
Charlie W –
Easy to assemble, easy on your body I love it, worth the cost.
Carol C –
The teeter has met all of my expectations. I recently stopped cardiac rehab once I received my teeter. I haven’t missed one day of use since it came. So much better to exercise at home vs hospital. I appreciate all the emails and online instructions. I have the Move app but haven’t used the routines yet as I’m doing what I was in rehab as I’m still recovering from heart surgery. I’ve never been one to work out but find this is so easy to want to do it daily. I could say more but bottom line I’m am so glad I made this purchase and I love it!! Very easy to reach customer service and they are very helpful.
Just Submit the Review –
We absolutely love it. It was all it was advertised to be.
Char P –
The Teeter Stepper was semi-easy to assemble. I couldn’t get the last two pieces assembled to cover the joint, but it doesn’t affect the machine. The arm bars are not designed for wide hips. The bars scrape/hit my legs with every step. I do wish that one of the meter readings was per step.
Lili1950 –
I don’t know if it is normal but the left hand arm won’t stay tight, I have to keep tightening the screw because it works loose.
Billy C –
I’m giving this a 3 star review due to a few factors. First box heavily damaged in freight. Teeter customer service was great. Lengthy assembly. Equipment works well as advertised. Would like a little more resistance on max level for full family use.
Debbie Hart –
I love it!!

My 96 year old father saw this machine on tv, called me and told me to buy him one. Knowing of the product, I heartily agreed and ordered one. This is a heavy duty piece of exercise equipment needing expert installation but was easily purchased. Anxious to try it myself and having bad knees (trying to avoid surgery) this is the only way I have found to get a cardio workout with no stress on the knee at all! Even if my knee is bothering me, it always feels better after the workout. Brilliant product, and so quiet. And I see my dad more often!
And anything to get my dad to work his joints is a plus! He’s in a walker but still enjoying his workout.
Kreedster –
Hard to get onto. Lifting my leg over the bar is difficult. Other than that I love it! Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Has improved my movements.
Sandra Richardson –
Unfortunately for me I was only able to use for approximately 2 weeks. I wasn’t feeling well and made an appointment with a cardiologist. Long story short I ended up having a Triple Bypass. I will be going to cardiac rehab and I will be looking forward to be able to use the cross trainer at that point. For the two weeks that I was able to use I was so very pleased. It was comfortable, easy and fits nicely in my master bedroom.
GeraldC –
The FreStep L3 is a great exercise machine. It provides a good low impact workout for bother lower and upper body. The resistance can be adjusted to a minimal amount to a high amount. The machine is very smooth and quiet. The seat height and upper body components are both easy to adjust. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble.
Dave Newman –
I ordered this after careful review of other recumbent ellipticals. The price on professional ones was many thousands and the LT3 provided the same workout for much less cost. Assembly was not difficult and after a month of use there have not been major issues. Only a minor nit: the tension adjustment does nothing until about 7, then is very heavy. I do not see any available adjustment for this.

Easy to put together. Really good for bad knees or ankles not so good if you have a bad shoulder or arm.

Putting this together I was very pleased with the quality of the equipment. It has been what I hoped for. Works very well for me. Easy to get into exercising and the routine I need.

Excellent product. Easy to put together. We’re in our early 60’s and sill active. This machine provides an effective workout. It is very quiet so you can workout to music or a movie. We highly recommend the Teeter Free Step!
dblb32604 –
it is not as a quiet as I thought it was supposed to be
Mamma Cat –
My doctor approved this machine after I severely broke my ankle so I could regain stamina after months of forced inactivity without actually putting weight on the broken bones. I like this machine a lot. I can get workouts ranging from gentle muscle movement to sweat inducing hard. It’s a good size and fits in the house so it is always available when I just wnt to move as well as for extended exercise sessions; and it fits short people (a really important factor). I recommend it.
AJVTAV –
i rate it a 5 for what it does for me and my health and its versatility BUT I RATE IT A 3 FOR THE SQEAKY NOISE … SQUEAKY BECAUSE THE ALLEN BOLTS THAT ARE SECURED TO THE MAIN UNIT WITH THE SEAT COME LOOSE TOO OFTEN MAKING THE SEAT NOT TIGHT ENOUGH AND THE OTHER BOLTS ALSO SECURED BY THE ALLEN WRENCH ALSO COME LOOSE CAUSING THE NOISE. AND THE KNOB BEHIND THE SEAT WILL NOT TIGHT NO MATTER HOWMUCH I TURN IT. BUT I USE THE LT3 EVERY DAY EVEN WITH THE DEFECTS AND I LOVE THE WORKOUTS.
Farhix –
Finally a machine I actually use. Assembly was easy. Comfortable and quiet (can’t express how big a deal have a quiet machine is).
Robert M –
My wife & I (both 70) both absolutely love our FreeStep! At our age one of the first things to go is your back and I can honestly say that not only does the FreeStep not hurt our back, but it actually feels “looser” when we get off of the machine. And the fact that the FreeStep also works your upper body is just a “win-win” for us. The LT3 is smooth and dead quiet when you use it, this is the best piece of exercise equipment that I’ve ever purchased. LOVE IT!!!!
DreeMeDee –
I love it!

Not only did I buy the CrossFit but also the fitspine! I’ve been wanting the fitspine for a long time and now I have BOTH!!! I could not be happier with this purchase. My husband found them very easy to set up and the CrossFit is so easy to use and easy on my aging (almost 50) body! I do freestyle to my music three times a week and do Teeter lead classes through the easy to use MOVE app! Get one! You’ll be happy you did!!!
Rocky Squrl –
Much more fun with the videos!
K Clark –
I love my new Teeter!!! It is so easy on my joints.
Jaymor Jim –
The delivery was prompt and assembly was straight forward. The Teeter is sturdy with a small foot print. However, I am disappointed in the resistance adjustment. When used at the lowest level it is fine but there is little difference when you increase the resistance. The worst thing about the resistance is that it is not the same at different points in the revolution. It seems”grabby”

I used to be a Marathon Runner until I was struck with an extremely rare disease called systemic sclerosis. I have no fat pads on the bottom of my feet and constant small fiber neuropathy. I still walk a couple of miles a day but my Free Step has been a lifesaver to be able to continue cardio and HIIT. I also purchased an Inversion Table. Teeter products are absolutely amazing and top quality!
GCrews –
Great exercise equipment. We watch TV while we exercise.
A Wilson –
This machine is not even. I also noticed it on the pictures online that the left arm is too close to your left leg. I have to keep moving over on the seat where my right butt cheek hangs off just to make it even.
Don Swarce –
I’m very happy to have the teeter LT3. Delivery was fast, easy to set up, fun to use. I have used it at least 30 minutes a day most every day since I received it. I feel that I’m getting a great workout when I use it and I would recommend it to anyone.
7072 Texas –
If you have a bad knee, a bad back, or you’re just starting an exercise program you need the Teeter. Unlike a bike, the motion is up and down. No rotation to make your joints scream! We hop on during a show or commercials and if we want to just work out arms, we put our feet up on the bar. Legs only? We hold the side of our seat and work our legs. Need to recline a bit? Easy as can be and there is a holder for your cell, your tablet and your water. The MOVE app is great and really motivates you to keep it moving!
SteveL –
This is a great exerciser for me.
Jack860 –
Product is solid. App lacking— does not sync with iOS Health or other workout tracking apps

Extremely difficult to assemble
S Dorsch –
I bought this FreeStep LT3 because I had recently had a second hip replaced. It is easy on the joints & has really helped build the muscles that you lose when you rely on your other side for strength. The FreeStep LT3 is very quiet, works all muscle groups, and the MOVE videos offer lots of options for different exercises. According to my husband, who also likes the LT3, it was the easiest item he has put together. The directions & video were good & all items were packaged and marked well for assembly.
Dennis K –
Well built piece of equipment, sturdy and relatively easy to assemble.
Top end resistance needs to be stronger to push workout to the next level.
Great for rehab and warmups but you really have to get after it for cardio.
Piper 44 –
This equipment is a very good exerciser for me. I am disabled due to a brain injury and gets me to an aerobic exercise heart rate without any pain or stress on the joints. The only downfall is it doesn’t come with toeclips or straps. Not having the straps enables my feet to stray the footpads which can get pinched. The lip of the footpad should be higher to reduce the potential of foot slippage.
Gary J –
Very well built, and quiet to operate. Similar to the unit I used at physical therapy, but easier on my bad knees. Have it right next to my recliner in the living room, so I can hop on and pedal away while watching tv. Helps keep me limbered up during the winter months when I can’t get out to work in yard and garden. Highly recommend…
BarbT –
Love our FreeStep LT3! Rides smooth, great workout, much easier on my plantar fasciitis than the treadmill. Our workout room ceiling was too low for a traditional elliptical, this works out great!

Works the whole body, easy to use, easy on the joints, safe to use, very quiet and with all the great video workouts. This is the perfect machine for me.

Easy to assemble all parts clearly marked.
Get on your horse and ride!

The classes on Teeter Move are very helpful. I was able to go from a beginner class in 1 week to an intermediate class. I’ve been enjoying the freestep everyday for 5 weeks now and have seen a difference in mobility and weight loss

Realized very quickly the LT3 would help mediate foot issues. Reminds me in certain ways of The Original HealthRider. Definitely works the total body depending on how it is being used. Terrific machine to stretch the feet and keep the legs in alignment, as advertised. The machine is very solid and quiet. My one suggestion would be to develop a seat with an extender for a water bottle. Current water bottle placement cannot be reached without stopping. I place something next to the machine within arms reach to accommodate this one issue. Having owned a Teeter Inversion Table I knew the quality of the machine would be Top Shelf. Customer Service representatives are pleasant and helpful. Thank you you for a job well done.

I needed a workout machine that was easy on my knees and my wife’s knees we both have torn ligament s this is exactly what we were looking for. It also helps cardio and upper body. We love it very much thank you teeter.
Anna W –
This machine is awesome. It’s small in stature, it’s a full body workout, it was easy to put together. I can’t say enough about it. It was recommended by my physical therapist after a knee injury and it’s working out great.

We bought an L3 so the seat would be comfortable, but it still hurts my butt after about 0 minutes.. otherwise love it!

I was diagnosed with advanced NHL dancer and underwent aggressive chemo treatment went from 255lbs. to 198lbs. in 4 weeks alot of that muscle loss. I saw an add on TV late one night for the Teeter FreeStep and checked it out on the internet. Liked what I saw and purchased one. Six months later I feel great put back on some muscle mass and my doctors are very pleased. I’m feeling so good that I have now added resistance band workouts with my FreeStep routine. Thank you for this exercise equipment.

I love my teeter. I use the teeter videos or read a book while I workout. My only problem arises when I change the handlebars. I have some trouble getting the screw to raise enough to move the handlebars. It’s mostly on the left one. I’ve worked up to 30-35 minutes or about 11-12 miles.
V S B –
We really like our Teeter Freestep LT3. It is super easy to use and makes zero noise. It’s amazing. I thought all moving things made noise but this thing is super smooth with zero sound. It was easy to assemble. I am a 60 year old female and had no problem with assembly. Just takes a little time. The instructions are very well written and everything is labeled well. The one and only thing I don’t care for is the seat height adjustment. It is kinda hard to for one person to do. All other adjustments are easily done. If the height adjustment was like the seat back adjustment it would have been a much better choice. But by no means would this have kept me from purchasing it. It is a great machine. Very well built and sturdy. Nothing flimsy about it at all. But I will say that one of the wheel covers came with one of the screws broken off. Took me a bit to find where it came from when I unwrapped that part. The screw is hidden and never seen. There is another one there but needs the broken off one to make cover totally tight. But it isn’t going to fall off and it isn’t a moving part. It’s not really a big deal. I would recommend this machine for good exercise for older folks like myself. But certainly younger folks would benefit as well. I like that you can really exercise your arms good too without having to have other equipment to do so.
K and K Windsor –
My husband and I are 75 and 77 respectively and have issues with joint pain and balance. Our daily walk was not cutting it and with COVID we were reluctant to go to the gym. We had seen the ads for the FreeStep, considered the two models and opted to go with the higher priced unit, knowing we would want a larger seat. The unit came in about ten business days and we both were able to unpack and assemble the unit with the use of the BILT video. All the pieces and hardware were labeled by assembly step and it went together easily as we really took our time. We found only two places where the screw holes did not line up. The unit is very sturdy and easy to use. Our unit has developed a slight ticking sound when we pedal but otherwise it is very quiet and smooth. We opted to buy a foam seat cover but can’t say it’s a big improvement to the comfort of the original seat, still smaller and harder than we would like. Our only other comment would be on the tracker display unit. As it is not backlit, it is hard to read when using. Other than these issues, we really enjoy using the FreeStep and have made using it a part to our everyday routine.

It was relatively easy to put together. Good instructions. Easy to use and I can feel a difference after using it for a couple of weeks

I’m a walker, but after moving to Wisconsin, I realize the winters are not the best for walking — lots of ice and snow. Out Teeter is great for exercising, but doing so in the warmth of our house and “watching” the snow fall outside. Feels great and is better on our backs.
Ms B –
It is very low impact on your joints. I have been using this since January 24 every day at least 30 minutes a day. My mobility has improved greatly.

I got my new teeter, LT3 just last week. It has made a huge difference in my life already. I have a bad knee. I’m 65, and half of my meniscus is gone from an accident. I needed something low/no impact. I researched a lot of different machines, from different companies. Some were up to 3-5 thousand, and finally settled on this one. I am thrilled with this machine. Not only was it a breeze to put together, they had all of the packages of screws and bolts, labeled by package. Instructions: get package 1 A etc. There was not one problem. It only took about 45 minutes to put together, and I was on my way to recovery! Today, after 4 days on it, I can finally walk normal again. My legs have become stronger, my aching knee does not hurt anymore, from being so weak from the muscles getting weak, from not moving much! My arms and shoulders don’t ache anymore. I can feel it in my hips and back, strengthening those too. Very very softly and mild. You can set it to no impact at all. It just glides so smoothly, with those ball bearings. I am tickled beyond words with this machine. I’m glad I researched for a month before deciding. It’s going to change my whole life, so I will not be wheelchair bound! Thank you for only taking 5 days to get it to me! Very smooth delivery. Thank you so much!

I love my Free step Lt3
. I can’t believe how it has built the muscle up in my shoulders & legs.
Senior citizen Gail –
Assembly will take much longer than you think.
Alignment of screws/holes is not precise and can be challenging.
DO assemble where you plan to use it as it’s very hard to move.
pnut –
looking for a bigger and comfortable seat, the seat is just too hard and too small for someone who is trying to lose weight
Charles 1 –
Best machine for the money. If you have bad joint pain it can’t be topped.
Donna J –
I’m 6’3 with very long legs so most excercise equipment is too small for me. The FreeStep LT3 works great for me. I’ve been using it twice a day for the past 4 weeks. I have more energy and I can tell I’m toning up. I’ve also lost 10 lbs, due in part to Weight Watchers and the LT3. I highly recommend this product.
giora1h –
Difficult to assemble, especially when at least one screw doesn’t line up and one of the batteries requires extra push to go into place.
Otherwise, I like the small footprint and ease of operation.

Had severe pain following back surgery and needed to get some walk time in for rehab. Pain was pretty severe but needed to exercise, Then a heart attack a year later and could construct my TEETER LT3 for sometime. Once I got it assembled I was very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly and regretted for waiting so long. Very satisfied and pleased, working out every day and feel a world of difference. Thank You for a great piece of equipment, and will surely enjoy working out pain free.

Love my Teeter FreeStep LT3! The mechanical action is super smooth! I had a problem with the resistance adjustment and they sent a replacement base quickly.

A little difficult to put together but after completion it has been a great addition for my wife and myself, it seems to be the perfect machine for us both!

Great machine that works the arms and legs at the same time and is totally silent.

Easy to use. I started it slow and gradually was able to increase resistance and time. Perfect for someone (like me) who needs help after hip replacements.

The FreeStep LT3 is built well. It’s very adjustable and quiet. With it’s small foot print it fits I our space very well.

I have a torn Medial Miniscus. Bought the Free Step to help strengthen my quads/knee muscles. I’m enjoying it hoping it helps delay need for surgery. Wasn’t real happy with the assembly process.

Originally my rating would have been 5 stars. It arrived on time, was relatively easy to pur together, and appeared to be everything it was supposed to be. That was a month ago. But, after not quite a month of use it has developed a “clunking’ and grunting noise. The Clunking is like a Thunk, Thunk, Thunk when peddling and using the handles.
I sent an e-mail about it yesterday and thought the e-mail I got today was in response to and an answer my query. But, no, it was a request for a rating and review. So here is my review.

I order this bike after reading many reviews. When it arrived it had been opened & retaped & marked mis-shipped with holes in the box. I called customer service & she arranged to have it picked up the next day & shipped me a new one that day. I’ve never had that type of service with anything I purchased. The ease in which it went together was awesome. I love it! I have bad knees & it gives you a whole body workout with no pain. It’s super quiet too. I love it. Great product & even better customer service

The LT3 is working great for us. My wife has COPD and we think it might be help her as it is very hard for her to exercise! We are both in our 70’s.

I have put on a bunch of weight during the “lockdown/work from home” era and walking wasn’t working for me due to having arthritis in my hips. A friend of mine used a similar machine during physical therapy and loved it so much that she bought a Teeter LT1. I had an opportunity to try hers and immediately bought an LT3. In the three weeks that I have been using it regularly, I can already see the difference in my waistline and legs. I do 30 minutes every morning for a full body, no impact workout that leaves me feeling energized and in ZERO pain. I can’t wait for summer…and it’s been a few years since I’ve been able to say that!

I am 49 and my go-to exercise routine for the past 30 years was running and going to the gym. Two years ago, I got burnt out on running and with the demands of family and work, it was difficult getting to the gym. I first saw the Teeter LT3 on a shopping channel in Dec 2020. I was intrigued. I researched it by reading reviews and watching videos on YouTube, and decided to purchase the LT3 in Dec 2021. I am so glad I did. My main concern was that it might not be as good of a workout since it seemed to be designed with people with joint issues or surgeries in mind, but that is not the case. Thanks to my Samsung exercise app, I compared my Teeter workouts with past workouts at the gym, including both the elliptical and the exercise bike. I burn more calories using the Teeter than either or those for the same period of time. Customer service was excellent too. The Teeter LT3 was delivered with a week of ordering it (from Washington state to Tennessee), even during peak holiday ordering time and supply chain issues. The seat was minimally damaged during shipping (a small crack in the cushioning), and I contacted customer service via email over the weekend after receiving it, and a new seat was shipped and received with 3 days. I am glad I spent a little more to get the LT3 for the upgrades. I’ve not used the LT1, but the upgrades are worth it to me. It is a quality machine. Before purchasing the LT3, I did look at exercise bikes and ellipticals in local stores and they were not of the quality of the LT3. I love the convenience of being able to work out in my home and watch what I want while I do it. The Teeter really is as silent as they say, and it is also a great investment because I know it will be equipment I can use for years to come even if I one day do develop joint issues or surgeries.

I feel like there is two different design issues that could be addressed. First you need a way to change the handle positions more easily and secondly I am 5’ 1” and have to put a pillow behind my back. I wish you could put one more notch in the seat to allow my short legs to reach the pedals easily. It is a great exercise machine and gives me a great workout on all my muscles. I do love it!!

I have Osteo in the left knee and have;nt been able to walk for exercise like I used to. I bought the Teeter Recumbent as it advertised it was low impact on the knees. I love this cross trainer. It’s quiet I can watch TV or listen to music while I exercise with no pain or stress on my knees.

Guys, I bought my FreeStep LT3 Recumbent Cross Trainer after researching several other products. I can tell you that Teeter brand means quality, and not just in the product, which I love. From the first day I used it, I started feeling results in muscle groups. I was no longer able to go jogging in the morning, due to concerns about safety, and the LT3 has given me new hope that I can continue my regimen indoors. Not only was the product superb, but also the service. My LT3, plus the massager, got delivered to a different address and was lost. After working through Teeter’s protocol, they sent me my replacement product, saving me having to file a claim. Teeter is a superb company, and I’ll buy all my products there.
