Decompress your spine, strengthen your core and relieve back pain with one machine. The Teeter DEX II is a commercial-grade inversion and core training system built for people who want real results.
Teeter DEX II Features
The DEX II is a forward-rotating, hip-supported inversion machine that puts your body in a 90/90 bent-knee, bent-hip position. This flattens the lumbar curve to target decompression in the lower back without putting any load on your ankles or knees.
Unlike a standard Roman chair, the Teeter DEX II’s ergonomic design prevents over-extension and neutralises the hamstrings, so your core does the work it’s supposed to.
The Dex II features forward rotation control, an ergonomic lap cushion, and multi-purpose lower handles for rotation support, stretching, dips and push-ups. A non-slip step also makes it easy to get on and off safely. As with all our inversion equipment, it’s UL certified and independently certified to meet rigorous product safety standards.
Pain Relief with the Teeter Dex II
By supporting the body through the hips rather than the ankles, the Dex II applies gentle traction to the spine and hip joints in a way that’s both effective and comfortable. Regular use can help with a huge range of issues, including:
- Decompressing the spine and relieving pressure on discs
- Reducing back pain, including from sciatica and herniated discs
- Improving posture and flexibility
- Relieving muscle tension and stress
- Strengthening the core to support the lower back long-term
- Improving range of movement and spinal health over time
- Commercial-grade frame, rated to 350 lb
Whether you’re dealing with chronic lower back pain or recovering from an injury, the DEX II gives you a practical tool to support your body.

FAQs about the Teeter Dex II
The DEX II is commonly used for lower back pain, sciatica, herniated discs and muscle tension. If you have a specific medical condition or have had recent surgery, we’d advise checking with your GP or physiotherapist before starting an inversion programme.
A standard inversion table suspends the user from the ankles, which can place stress on the ankle and knee joints. The Teeter DEX II supports the body through the hips in a bent-knee, bent-hip position, removing load from the ankles entirely and directing decompression more precisely at the lower back. During abdominal crunches, the Dex II removes pressure from the spine.
Unlike a Roman chair, the DEX II’s horizontal position prevents over-extension and neutralises the hamstrings, meaning your core muscles are properly isolated during exercises rather than your hamstrings doing the heavy lifting.
Yes, the DEX II folds quickly into a compact profile, making it practical for home use where space is at a premium.
The machine comes with all hardware needed for assembly, a step-by-step instruction manual and free access to the Teeter Move app. If you have any questions about what’s in the box before you buy, our customer service team is happy to help.
Hi Pevad,
Inversion is contraindicated (not recommended) for anyone with surgically implanted orthopedic supports or a significant curvature to the spine. While this does not mean that you cannot invert, it means that you’ll need to check with your doctor before trying inversion. You can find out more about contraindications here: https://teeter.com/blog/faq-items/who-should-use-it/

Best ever for Chronic, Severe Lower Back Pain. I had to regretfully part with mine though, when I ended up with a worsening a hiatal hernia of my stomach(no my Teeter Dex II didn’t cause it–repeatedly bending from the waist to read the very bottom shelf tags, while working at my university bookstore did it–no workers comp either!) This machine is super for easing chronic LBP, as I have, but you need to have an okay abdomen w/o any herniations to use this (otherwise your stomach could twist, causing excruciating pain & a need for a trip to the ER & emergency surgery ASAP. Someone said in a post prior to mine that, “you won’t need opiates for LPB pain–only this.” I totally disagree with that statement!! All those with truly, severe chronic LBP pain know that pain relief for severe, chronic pain LBP always requires some type of oral and/or injectable pain medication to ease both the pain and to halt the accelerated spinal degeneration, caused this arthritic & disabling disease. (Ask me how I know?) That being said, this type of inversion therapy certainly does help ease the agony of the painful/grinding pressure of ruptured spinal disc & spinal degeneration, but it isn’t a ‘be all’ or ‘end all’ form of relief for severe, chronic LBP. So, with that in mind–it is a very helpful type of physical therapy device, but it isn’t a ‘cure all’ for those with true chronic LBP. With any type of abdominal herniation, this type of inversion, shouldn’t be used, unless you can get the herniation fixed & only with an MD’s or DO’s approval. However, this device is truly an awesome creation of a truly great 👍 engineering mind! Don’t hesitate to get it, if you’re on the fence over it. You won’t regret it and it takes up very little space! I really miss mine and I wish I had stopped mom & dad from giving it away, during downsizing and relocating–instead of giving in to their over zealous mantra of “You can’t use it anyways,” psychology. It makes a great clothes rack 😊🥰, even if you can’t use it, for a while & a standing traction-like spine stretch is still doable, with the assorted handles & weight of the device itself 😉!

After 30 years of pinching the nerve on my lower that would leave me crippled for days and seeking help from expensive and useless chiropractors, I found this. After about less than a minute use, twice a day, for three years a got cured. It’s now been about 10 years. This machine regenerates the disks. I have helped about 5 people get cured. Man’s greatest invention

Excellent. I have used this product for 20 years even after a spinal fusion age 21

I am a spine surgeon who actually would need a fusion of my lower back. Came across the Dex II a couple of years ago after trying tipping boards that were subpar and painful for ankles/feet. I have been trying to buy one for over a year but out of stock and no shipping from USA to Sweden.
At last I found a EU retailer and finally in stock.
This is the absolute best of all time. I use it every morning and sometimes in the evening. The decompression is magical. It is so good and I can be active the whole day with zero lower back pain.

Had this for 6yrs now. 4 drs said i need fusion surgey ASAP. Ive severe degenerative disks (4) L1-4, and tried a lot of other rigs. This does it. Other exercises can be done while putting no compression on disks, so you can strengthen support muscles. You can feel the pops just hanging or using handles for added traction. Twisting while having theRead more about review stating Ive avoided fusion surgey
gravity helping gives instant relief. Worth a lot more than noted price. Avoid full length bench type units as they dont bend you at the waist to straighten your spine to allow the gravity to do its job. I get on it twice a day and before golf or surfing. Ive been able to stop getting nerve burns to stop the transmittal of pain via the medial nerves, and enlarged the foraminal openings in my spine to give the nerves room. Excellent device. Its saved my livlihood

I have the 1995 model called back revolution. I have a routine of deep stretching using front handles, hanging and stretching, assisted yoga postures, floor assisted stretching, combined with the Theracane acupressure. Doctors should prescribe this instead of opiates. If you hung from your knees as a kid you recapture that feeling.
Laura S. –
I use to tease my husband, ” could you please just hang me upside down”. 20 years ago I would hang upside down on my sons swing set from my knees. A friend had a teeter and borrowed it to me six months ago, I fell in love with the relief I got from it. I ordered my own and life is good. No more chiropractor. So, Thank You
